About the Company
At Camion Freightliner Mont-Laurier, there’s more to what we do than heavy trucks and mechanical repairs. Through our partnership with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), we are also responsible for performing vehicle mechanical inspections.
Our role is to help ensure that vehicles operating on Québec roads meet safety standards. We carry out mandatory inspections while helping our customers avoid preventable breakdowns and costly downtime.

Your Role
As an SAAQ Vehicle Inspector, you are responsible for performing mechanical inspections on a wide variety of vehicles entrusted to you. And there is no shortage of variety! Trailers, heavy trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, and many other types of vehicles will pass through your hands.
Every inspection comes with its own unique challenges. Your duties include visual inspections of major vehicle systems, assessment of modified vehicles, special inspections, and documenting defects in mechanical inspection reports.

Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of major vehicle systems.
- Complete inspection reports and identify any required repairs or modifications.
- Conduct photometric testing of vehicle windows.
- Travel to customer locations when required to perform inspections on-site.
- Perform any other related duties as needed.

Ton bagage
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic.
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Mechanics is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the SAAQ Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) is considered an asset.
- Experience in body repair and collision work is considered an asset.
- Comfortable using a computer and digital tools is considered an asset.
